  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I live in a fairly big city, but not too big. I’m a city girl at heart. I love my conveniences, like nail salons and food deliveries and grocery stores on every corner. But I’ll admit that I’d rather live away from people lol. As I get older, I need some damn space. One day I’ll find a place in the country where I’m close enough to drive into the city in a short time, but far enough away that I’d survive a zombie apocalypse.

I've lived in both. With high speed internet I can shop and watch the same shows people in cities watch.
I currently live in a town best described as a pinpoint on the map. The only thing I really miss is food options.
The nearest city to us (about 75,000 people) is mostly chain restaurants and cheap buffets.
If I want a dining experience or a good show, I have to travel an hour and a half to two hours.
All things considered, I'll take a small, semi-rural town over a big city.

My opinions would most likely be different if I were dealing with the expenses of living on my own rather than with family right now, but right now I live in the suburbs in a small town. But not too small, and there's still plenty to do. But, the way it's going, it'll probably be a bigger "city" than I like in several years. The more people keep moving out here.

I'd like living close enough to drive into the city, but somewhere a tad quieter away from all the crowds and congestion.

Not a very long drive into the city.
I do live in a really small town that is more of a tourist spot.
    Very dead in the winter.

Granada Hills, in the SFV just north of L.A, so pretty much city. I love the countryside when I'm there, but have no plans to move. I'm good.

I've lived in LA, San Francisco, San Antonio, Champaign, Springfield, Wichita Falls, Billings and so on, I also had a horse ranch above Big Sur, a small place outside Butte, another one outside Mojave and hideouts in Farmington, Florida and Millard County, UT. One place is as good as another, the question is are you good enough for the place you're in?

Cool thread! Seriously! I grew up a country kid. Work brought me to a small city. Then I migrated to another small town but not country. Lived in Columbus, Ohio for several years. It was nice to be close by to things but my one neighbor was a dick! Lived 26 years amongst the bean and corn fields! The best time of my life! Had to sell the homestead after my wife passed away in 2021. I’m now in a small town, 28,000 people. My neighbors are pretty damn quiet. I have a nice solitude at my new place. I’m lucky. My life is good! Come join me?

I live in a suburb of a big city but it’s pretty much just an extension. At some point I wouldn’t mind moving a little further out but I don’t think I could ever do small town/middle of nowhere. My in-laws live way out and have to drive 90 minutes to get to a hospital and 20 minutes just to buy milk. I can’t do that

That’s pretty tough. I was 12 minutes from grocery stores. Chain restaurants and some good mom and pop places within 30 minutes. I loved the night sky! I’ll never have that again. That’s very sad. We had fantastic hospitals within an hour of us. Thank goodness.

I think that's the best, having the profit of a big city without the inconveniences.

I live in a suburb town and I'm not very sociable. Stick me in the country where the closest neighbors are a couple miles from me and I'll be happy.
