Newest Review 2020-San Mateo Credit U

It was difficult logging in for the first time, but after logging in I see major improvements across the board. Now you can take pictures of your checks. Better UI. Way better iOS support and we can even use our SM Credit on our Apple Watch and Wallet App.

I can use my Touch ID, working really well on an iPhone 8. Keep the support going guys. Major improvements from the old app. It’s going to take a bit of getting used to but seriously it’s wayyyy better from the old version. Thankyou San Mateo Credit Union!!!

Check deposit camera

Months ago for the 1st time I submitted a picture during a mobile check deposit. The photo was accepted and deposit added to my account. Then 2 weeks later the money was subtracted without any notice. I saw the debit and called accounting. They said the picture was partially blurry and they couldn’t read a section of the picture. Then why was it accepted? I have an account at other banks and their mobile app will reject the photo right away and tell you to re submit a new pic. This only happened once, but there is a way to improve your service. Both in the way the algorithm reads vital info of the check virtually so it would prevent the check from being submitted before it has this info and policy wise, a member of the staff should always reach out to a member by phone email or at least text before reversing the transaction, so no one is inconvenienced in this manner. It only happened once after 100’s of deposits, but it was a negative experience that should be fixed. When I kindly reported this to a staff member, I was rudely told that things your policy and that you all don’t do personalized banking. Whatever that meant. My two cents…

Major upgrade!

Not sure about some of these newer reviews. This new app is a MAJOR upgrade from the old one. The prior app was super limiting and did not allow for a lot of transactions that were only available if you logged onto the desktop site. Clean, easy to use, and has much more functionality that before. Couldn’t be happier with this recent update!
