  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    That is an interesting question.

I would restrict immigration, especially third world immigration. I would try to locate and deport illegal immigrants. I would end H1B Visas. I would have a harsher criminal justice system with more and longer prison sentences under more disagreeable conditions. I would make convicts work at hard labor. I would encourage police forces to practice stop and frisk policies, and race profiling. Capital punishment would become frequent. I would end Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. I would end affirmative action and forced school busing. I would encourage public schools to practice more discipline, and to be more willing to expel violent and dangerous students.

I would repeal laws that make it possible for American manufacturers to close factories in the U.S., move production to countries with low wages and little legislation to protect worker rights and the environment, and then import the produce of those factories without paying tariffs. .

I would end private financing of political campaigns. Political campaigns would be financed by the government. I would pass laws to strengthen labor unions, raise the minimum wage, and have a well financed public sector of the economy paid for by steeply progressive taxation.

I would like to weaken the United States Supreme Court as an institution. Supreme Court decisions would require a two thirds majority. A Supreme Court decision could be overturned by a two thirds vote in each house of Congress, and a presidential signature. It would not require an amendment to the Constitution. Supreme Court Justices could be removed by national referendums.

I would give the President line item veto power.

That is my wish list. I do not claim that a majority of voters would approve of every aspect. I think many of them would approve of much of my wish list.

Of course, my taxes would go up. Being one of the richest people on earth I would still have enough to live comfortably.

The commerce department said the U.S economy grew at a rate of 1.9 percent in 2013.

No D.L. I did not mean what you would do if you were our dictator, I meant how would you use your influence if you were one of the elite? Would you use some of your money to influence policy to help the poor? Would you use some of your money to establish college scholarships for all who deserve them? Things like that. Even the wealthiest people of the world can't just declare they are taking over. They have to devise ways to get their policies implemented. How would you go about getting your policies implemented?

If you look at the following data from The World Factbook you will see that richer countries generally have lower rates of growth than poor countries.

    https://www.cia.gov/library/publica...sia&countrycode=rs&regionCode=cas&rank=165#rs

I was simply pointing out that ace's n 8's assertion that countries with flat taxes had seen "economic growth on average of 5-8% annually," was mistaken.

As I expected, when I corrected on that point, he responded with a blast of invective.

I would use my money to promote the policies I listed. There are other causes I would contribute to.

I am probably the best informed poster here. There are a few who know more than I do about their area of expertise, but my knowledge extends to many areas. My arguments are logical. I enjoy exposing logical fallacies in the arguments of those who disagree with me.

No bragging. Just fact, from the Master of Facts.

    You might---------I say might-------------be right.
What we do know is the failed policies of the Obama administration have not led to a healthy job market; in fact, more Americans are long term unemployed and forced onto food stamps and disability than ever before in our history thanks to Obama and his "un policies".

And I'll tell you what; I'll take a candidate who can lay out a plan to get something accomplished, even if it turns our to be a failure, than the pablum fed to us by Obama and Carter (two of the worst Presidents in our history in my opinion).

Now for the record, I don't believe Cruz can win the nomination, but he is indeed a breath of fresh air.

Honest people usually are a breath of fresh air these days. Ben Carson is another. The media, the press and every other talking head is trying to convince the people he can't be elected either. So exactly what are they trying to tell us? We are doomed to have dishonest leaders? It sure sounds like it. I don't mean to get political here, but with all the lies and scandals Hilary Clinton has been associated with, exactly why on earth are we told by those same folks that she is a shoe in? Do they think we are idiots? A shoe in???? Is it just me or do the rest of you feel we are becoming a nation of subjects, with the elite telling us what is possible and what isn't. So let me get this straight, I should not vote for the candidate I think is most qualified because ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX NEWS, The Washington Post, The New York Times and all the other major newspapers say my candidate can't win? I have to vote for the candidates they think can win? Folks we just have to admit the fact we are being manipulated. There is no other way to describe it.

When it comes to electing our leaders I think the media should just report the facts about all of the candidates, keep their opinions to themselves, and let the people decide who can win.

It's my experience that construction workers are fat but at least reasonably strong. Are you the rare case that is weak and skinny and has everybody else do the actual work?

    That'd make total sense.

I think it's time for a tenguy check: if I had a username unknown to you, would you have said anything remotely similar? Or would you have taken me seriously?

    I wasn't being sarcastic. I was mimicking.

You know what; I'll even top what I just said.

I was broke as a joke when I first joined this forum. I'll fully admit that. But I worked my ass off to get more. I wanted more and I still want more. I make an extremely comfortable living for myself, but... like I said, I want more. I continue to work my ass off. You and your ilk like to imagine that I'm some sort of welfare care. I can cite it. But, if anything, I'm living the original American dream. But I also recognize that I'm a very lucky man. I've always been fairly lucky. Sometimes I wonder if people don't recognize their own luck in their situation in life. There are many, many people who work far harder than either one of us could ever imagine... but they aren't so lucky.

Why is it so radical to suggest that these people should also be able to enjoy life?

It does take a certain amount of luck to succeed in anything, and anyone who refuses to admit it is a fool.

Any one who relies on windfall good luck is a fool.

My favorite definition of "Good luck" is: "being prepared to take advantage of opportunity".

Want to mimic good fortune? Go to work and earn it.

What exactly is bad about being a construction worker? I know several construction workers, they are really nice guys.

You make your own luck by being a conscientious hard worker.

Wow, nice job RoM, you dissing construction workers. Construction of commercial, residential and government buildings and infrastructure probably incorporates more skilled workers than most other general occupational category, in the US or the world.

It's cute that you rush to ace's defense. You deserve a pat on the head. *pat*

It's also cute because in your hasty attempt to get a gotcha, you also admitted you don't think any of these job sectors are skilled:

healthcare (2.8x amount employed by construction)
manufacturing (2.7x amount employed by construction)
professional services (2.9x amount employed by construction)
transportation (2.5x the amount employed by construction)
financial services (1.5x amount employed by construction)
state and local government (3.3x employed by construction)

If you ever wonder why I call people stupid, it's because they're so unbelievably wrong and talk out of their ass like they know something about anything. Then they don't acknowledge when they're so wrong and take pride in being wrong.

Next time you try to get me, at least be marginally informed.

And the people who work their ass off but are still poor?

Has it ever once entered your mind that the world isn't black and white and saying hard work = success isn't always true?

The mark of an imbecile is refusing to think about anything other than those that fit their pre-conceived notions.

P.S - I DID address hard work in my post. I suppose it's too much to expect you to read beyond the first line.
